Last Updated: 7/10/2025
1 Introduction
Welcome to Recordio (“App”), a content creation mobile application developed by CTINX SA (“Company” “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your information when you use our App, ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other relevant regulations. This policy also adheres to the privacy guidelines required by major mobile application distribution platforms.
2 No Cookies Used
Our website does not use cookies to track or store any personal information. We do not employ cookies for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose. Any user interactions with our website are handled without the need for cookie data.
For users interacting with embedded content, such as the Typeform feedback form, please be aware that these third-party services may have their own cookie policies, which are governed by their respective privacy policies.
3 Data Collection
3.1 No Account Required
Our App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use its features. You can fully enjoy most functionalities of the App without sharing identifiable information. However, to support certain features such as personalized push notifications, we may generate and use a unique, pseudonymous user identifier. This identifier does not include personal data like your name, email, or phone number, and it is used solely to enhance your experience within the App.
3.2 Automatically Created Albums
The App automatically creates multimedia albums from the photos and videos stored on your device. All processing occurs locally on your device, and no data is transmitted to our servers.
We may collaborate with third-party partners who provide data used to enhance the albums you create. However, such collaboration does not involve the processing of any user-specific data outside the photos and videos stored on your device. Your personal information will continue to remain private and secure, as we do not transmit or process it externally.
3.3 Analytics and Crash Reporting
Our App uses Firebase SDK for Crashlytics to help monitor app stability. This allows us to improve the performance and reliability of the App. In addition to Firebase, we also use third-party services like AppsFlyer and Mixpanel to better understand how users engage with our App. These tools help us analyze user behavior at an aggregate level and enable us to optimize features and in-app experiences.
3.3.1 Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to gain insights into how users interact with the App. This includes data such as app launches, screen views, and in-app behavior patterns. The information collected helps us monitor performance, improve functionality, and enhance the overall user experience. All data is anonymized or pseudonymized, and no personally identifiable information is collected.
3.3.2 Mixpanel
Mixpanel helps us understand user journeys by capturing anonymized event-based data. This includes actions like album creation, export, or feature usage, which allows us to refine the App’s interface and improve engagement. No personally identifiable information is collected.
3.3.3 AppsFlyer
We use AppsFlyer to analyze how users discover and install our App through advertising campaigns. AppsFlyer may collect device-level data, including IP address, device type, and OS version, which is anonymized and used for attribution and performance tracking.
3.3.4 Firebase Crashlytics
Firebase Crashlytics is used to track, prioritize, and fix stability issues within the App. Crashlytics helps us understand the circumstances under which the App may crash, so we can work on improving its stability. The data collected through Crashlytics is general and does not contain any personal information, ensuring that individual users cannot be identified.
3.3.5 No Personal Data Collected
We want to emphasize that while we use Firebase services to collect data on app usage and crashes, we do not collect or store any personal information that can directly identify you. Any data collected is either anonymized or pseudonymized to ensure your privacy.
4 Data Storage
All photos, videos, and created albums are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to, nor do we collect, store, or transmit any of your media files to our servers. Push notification events may be stored securely on our backend in connection with a unique identifier, allowing us to send notifications based on specific user actions. These identifiers do not reveal your identity and are used solely for personalization purposes within the App.
5 Compliance with Distribution Platform Requirements
5.1 No Data Collection, Limited Tracking
We have updated our App to include analytics and push notification features that require limited tracking for functionality and performance analysis. This includes the use of anonymized or pseudonymized identifiers, as outlined in section 3. All such tracking is done in compliance with applicable laws and app store requirements.
5.2 Transparency and Control
Because the App does not collect any personal data, users remain fully in control of the information they choose to process within the App.
5.3 Data Handling
Our application’s distribution platform listing includes clear information that no personal data is collected or shared in a way that identifies users, in line with the guidelines provided by these platforms.
6 Your Rights Under GDPR and Other Applicable Laws
6.1 Right of Access
You have the right to request information about any personal data that we might collect or process (Note: In this case, the App does not collect personal data that identifies individuals).
6.2 Right to Erasure
Since no personal data is collected or stored, there is no data to erase. However, all content generated through the App remains on your device, giving you full control to delete it as needed.
6.3 Right to Data Portability
As we do not process personal data, there is no data to be transferred or ported to another service.
6.4 Right to Restriction of Processing
Since we do not process any personal data, there is no processing to restrict.
7 Compliance with Other Regulations (e.g., CCPA)
8 Third-Party Services
We use third-party services such as Firebase, AppsFlyer, and Mixpanel to help us analyze and improve the App’s performance and user experience. These services may receive anonymized or pseudonymized data – such as usage patterns or device information – for analytics purposes, in accordance with their own privacy policies. Since our App does not collect personal information that directly identifies users (such as names or email addresses), we do not share such data with any third parties.
9 Children’s Privacy
The App does not collect personal information from users of any age, including children under the age of 13, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
10 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Privacy Policy in the App. It is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed of any updates.
